So Alibaug was our next destination as we were called to review U Tropicana, a relaxed hotel amongst tropical gardens. Alibaug is approximately a 3hrs drive from Mumbai or one has the option of taking a ferry lasting an hour or a speedboat and you reach in 20 minutes. The hotel is a 25 minute drive from the jetty.
Spread over 12 acres of lush green gardens, U Tropicana is 3km away from the beach allowing the guests to live in peace and natural beauty far from the hustle and bustle of city life.
All rooms and villas of the hotel are very well done in contemporary design and the interiors are a mirror to luxury. The villas resonate quality furnishings and state of art facilities. We chose the Royal Villa which had a deck opening into a private plunge pool and party lawn that looked aesthetic and pleasing.
The services offered by U Tropicana were great. Guests could enjoy breakfast and high tea as well as other services in their room itself from 24 hours of check in. As we checked in, we were warmly welcomed by the staff with garlands and fresh coconut water.
We then had lunch at one of their restaurants and came back to our villa. After resting for a while ,we were served some exotic snacks in the evening while we enjoyed playing games with our co-bloggers by the pool.
Dinner was specially prepared by the chef and was a compilation of local scrumptious cuisines and boy we were famished!!!
We were by the pool beyond midnight enjoying the moonlit night with our legs dipped in that cold water. Few hours of sleep and it was Sunday morning already when we realised it was time to bid adieu to a great property, brilliant food amazing company.
After a grand breakfast amidst beautiful rains and fog ,we left with a heavy heart from U Tropicana. A perfect weekend getaway for friends and family.
