For travellers caught up the entire week in their hectic schedules, weekends is the only time to escape the rush and trudge to a quiet and peaceful place. Away from the city, was this beautiful place called Rusticville. An ideal weekend getaway where one gets to see different shades of nature. Enjoy the beautiful blue skies, sound of the winds, hum of bees and breathe some clean air. It overlooks the Pawna valley and the beautiful Pawna lake famous for night camping. The campsite is located at a distance of 130km from Mumbai, 60 km from Pune and 22km from Lonavala.
We found this place online and planned to visit it on a weekend. The place was exactly how it was shown on the website. The package provided includes –

As soon as we reached we were served hot tea and bhajiya’s. As the sun set we were ready to enjoy the bar-b-que which we had to prepare ourselves. We were a group of young friends, so we enjoyed some drinks and good music with some delicious bar-b-que.
Dinner was served by 9:00 alongside a bonfire to help us cope with the chilly climate. Every group got their own bonfires. On request they also provided sheesha, cold drinks and water at nominal charges. As the night set we enjoyed watching the glimmering stars and hearing the croaking frogs.
After a funfilled night we woke up early, had our breakfast and ran to Lake Pawna to enjoy a dip in the chilled water.
On the whole we were very happy with the facilities offered, considering the charge. The staff was very courteous and helpful at all times

- Wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Carry full sleeves or warm clothes, sunscreen and mosquito repellent.
- SUV car recommended.
